About Us

It's a simple idea, really. You want your home to be safe, and you expect trained professionals to help you guide you through the process. Sometimes though, it's hard to figure out who the good guys are.

The New River Valley Home Builders Association (NRVHBA) and the Virginia Building and Code Officials Association, Region II chapter (VBCOA) are working together to make it a little easier. Together, we're promoting better construction practices and safer homes for all those who live in the New River Valley.

In the “Better Building. Safer Homes.” campaign, we're building a partnership with citizens, building professionals and local government to ensure that our homes are as safe as possible. That means we're giving you free resources on issues involved in new construction, remodeling and home improvement, and how to locate professionals that can guide and protect you during the process.
